Day Two - Quartzsite, AZ
Well, it was a beautiful day in the neighborhood. One hundred twenty-three students in Kindergarten through eighth grade became the first "out-of-staters" to witness the TidePool Cruiser phenomenon (thank you Spell Checker on that one). Here the kids are gathering around the Travelin' Tide Pool Touch Tank and getting a chance to see and touch some beautiful Pacific Ocean creatures. We learned how to help get the Colorado River cleaner too. In this picture I'm using Poe sign language to convey the concept of...well, let's see if you can guess. Hint: It's one of the ways to help stop pollution from getting into the water. One day to guess...Winner gets a WOOWEE T-Shirt!
Tomorrow it's on to Tucson and on April 1st we'll be seeing about 150 4th and 5th graders at Brichta Elementary.

What a great opportunity for the kids to experience a bit of the Pacific.
ReplyDeleteIs the expression Poeism for picking up "icky" trash?
We are proud of your vision and tenacity to carry it the kids across our country. We wish you a safe, exciting experience and look forward to seeing you when you reach the east coast.
